“Hanging Out” Private Collection, Oil on canvas 12" x 18" This black bear cub has been sent up a tree by his mother. He will remain there until he gets the signal that it’s okay to come back down. While I understand that this procedure is to insure the cub’s safety when it’s mother feels there may be danger near by, I wonder if at certain times like other mothers I’ve known, they just order them up there for a bit of quiet time for themselves.
