“Three’s Company”

Here a pair of eagles watch as an interloper eyes their tree for a perch
for himself. He is not particularly welcome because their vantage point
offers them a good view of the stream with their lunch swimming
unsuspecting below. This particular old monarch is a landmark in
Flannigan Slough, just off the Taku River up past the US / Canada
border some five or six miles from our cabin.
