I accept commissioned work as my schedule permits. If I feel the subject is right for me, and the necessary information is available to do a creditable job for the client, then I will enthusiastically proceed with the project. |

I especially enjoy animal portraits. I work in several mediums other than oils. Charcoal, pen and ink, and water color to name a few.

One recent job I recall included a beautiful Southeast Alaskan sunset in Favorite Channel off the eastern shore of Shelter Island just west of Juneau. A husband wanted to surprise his wife with an original oil painting of their special spot. He brought me quite a few photos of the area, several of which included a small fire they built in the sand one evening. Moving several elements around, I painted the dying embers of the fire in the foreground with silhouettes of the two of them walking up the beach in the sunset.
